It was such an honor to be asked to be a part of the new Twin Peaks. David Lynch is obviously a creative genius and I’m so thrilled to be a part of this legacy. To accompany the airing, I had asked my friend’s teenage son to create a video of his own imagination alongside “Wild West” and I love how it turned out! He didn’t know what it was for & took to the country with 3 friends & a camera! Tune in!
This song came very naturally and quickly as I was writing with longtime collaborator Martin Craft and the brilliant Liam Howe. It was interesting to be laying almost country like lyrics, reflecting my farmlife in Iowa, atop a very sultry, smooth and what I think is a pretty hip track! I hope people can appreciate a bit of a different sonic quality from me as I’m working on an album that will be a bit of a fresh, new sound.
Enjoy my rendition of Joni Mitchell’s “River”, available on my recent “Live at Union Chapel” album! I’ve always adored this song! & While I love the holidays, there’s always a sense of melancholy I get that this song captures so perfectly
My live video for “Don’t You Give Up On Me” from Union Chapel is now up!
Playing live is my favorite part of being a musician. Being able to capture and share the energy of the acoustic solo performance and crowd in a space like Union Chapel is exciting! Buy/stream a digital copy of ‘Live at Union Chapel’ NOW or pre-order a physical CD (out Oct. 14 in the US & Nov. 25 in the UK/Ireland) here: https://lissie.lnk.to/LATUC
CDs are also in my US online store: http://www.shopbenchmark.com/lissie/
The brilliant Talain Rayne directed my latest video for Wild West! He found the 4 coolest brothers to shoot the footage themselves which he edited into this beautiful piece. I initially had no idea what to expect and I am in love with how it turned out! Wild West is a song about reclaiming ones life & path, and this video feels like it’s recapturing a sort of innocent joy while being fierce & rebellious!

Hope to see you at one of my upcoming US tour dates! Skrizzly Adams will not only be the support act but his band will also be my band! This is a bit of an experiment for me, since I moved back to Iowa & am now an independent artist! This is a creative way to represent the album while also getting to play with a great group of guys & musicians! Get your tickets!
If you’ll be in Austin at SXSW next week, come by a show! See details in the flyer:
