i’ve been working on getting my new merchandise store up and running. i am transitioning to storing and shipping from my hometown of rock island, illinois. this new phase has been fun because my brother-in-law did a great job on my new website and my aunt will be shipping my merch for me :) we are in the process of making vinyl of the covers ep “cryin’ to you”. we will have SIGNED cds, eps and vinyl for sale very soon. also, i am working with an artist in ojai, chris wilson, who has been designing and hand screen printing our t-shirts. we are doing them in small batches and the designs are changing constantly .. all one of a kind so please keep an eye out for these t-shirts which i am really excited about. i will be sure to tweet and post, etc. when we have these items up for sale on the site!
as most of you may know, i love tequila! i teamed up with metl mezcal and tequila to create a limited edition lissie line of mezcal and tequila. after visiting the families that grow, harvest, roast and create the mezcal in oaxaca i was eager to make not only a tequila available to you but also a very fine mezcal. there is a very limited amount left in stock and i’m unsure yet as to whether i will continue with this venture.. so if you wanna get your hands on a signed and numbered bottle of my finest booze then you can order here: blanco // reposado
it is such an honor to be able to draw people to a show and bring awareness through music. this year marked our 3rd annual laura’s legacy concert in rock island, illinois. after losing my aunt laura to ALS, my family and i started an annual event to celebrate her memory and raise money for the ALS division of the western illinois/ iowa MDA. i’m pleased to report that this year we raised $13,000! our best year yet! so thank you to all who came and supported our efforts! see you all again next year! and i’d like to thank dimmi shoes for being our sponsor and creating a line of bags and hats, as well as a laura’s legacy boot which you can pre order here.
We are excited to be playing our 3rd annual Changing Tides Orphanage fundraiser on August 9th at the Libbey Bowl in Ojai, CA.
The government of Haiti provides only 10% of the country with an education – Changing Tides’ mission is to help educate the youth of Haiti in hopes that these children will make change for the future generations of their country.
Come and support our efforts & have some fun while doing some good!
Driving back from Minneapolis to Rock Island last week, we stopped in a small town in Iowa to shoot an impromptu video. These awesome kids showed up and made it real special! Quite imperfect but enjoy!!!
